Our parents love us unconditionally but this unconditional love comes with a lot of drama and a long list of must-follow rules, especially if you have desi parents. Desi parents can be kind of over protective, strict and not-so-liberal by nature. And there is nothing we can do about it! So here’s what happens when you grow up with not-so-liberal desi parents:
1. Your dad is the monarch of the house! “My house, my rules!” – this is your dad’s favourite dialogue!
2. You need a week to plan how you are going to ask for permission to go for that lunch plan with your friends.
3. You only ask for something big when they are in a good mood but their mood changes as soon as you put forward your request
4. You are constantly bombarded with questions like;
Where are you going? Who are you going with? When will you come back? How will you go? What will you do?
