A favourite in urban and rural areas of the country. In fact, I would even go as far as to say it is a worldwide favourite. For those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s kind of like a desi milkshake.

The salty version of lassi hydrates the body and balances the water level required. Again it is quite a favourite – but this specific drink is an acquired taste.
Sattu is a mixture of seven varieties of pulses, millets and cereals which include horsegram, wheat, barley and maize. Great for the digestive system, this drink is very popular in the sub-continent. It also has two type, a salty version and a sweet version.
Thadal, popular around the rural areas of Sindh, is an energising drink that includes ingredients like almonds, cardamom and dried rose petals. It is also used as a drink given to wrestlers to keep their liver cool during fights and exercises.
Apart from the typical lemon soda water, there are many flavours of limca available in Pakistan. Not only does this drink taste fantastic, it energises you, boosts liver function and helps your digestive system!

This cold beverage is processed with almond, milk, sugar and pistachio. It is considered a ‘royal’ drink here in Pakistan and is said to boost your immune system and energise your body and mind!
