Remember how you were taught your Urdu qaida in school? All of hated memorising it and then it was just so… boring!
Ramish Safa, a business graduate turned digital artist, recently revived our Urdu qaida. He fused pop and desi culture to make learning Urdu fun.
Urdu alphabets are explained by using characters from HBO’s popular series Game of Thrones (GOT).
These mugs are a pun not only on the characters but also on desi culture! For example “Seen” is for Cersei and also about the Saas who hunts a bahu who can make gol rotis!
The mugs are just a teaser of Safa’s book “Urdu 101″, a book that teaches Urdu to children in a non-conformist way. This book also evidences the evolution of Urdu as a language.
