Indian Army Makes Candidates Take Test In Their Underwear

India’s army made candidates at a recruitment day in Bihar take a written exam in their underwear to prevent them from cheating, reports said Tuesday, after a spate of exam cheating scandals in the eastern state.

Over 1,150 candidates aspiring to join the Army were dressed only in their underwear, sitting on an open ground in Muzaffarpur on Sunday. These included candidates hoping to make it as soldiers on general duty, clerical and technical roles.

The paper quoted an army source as saying they took the radical step to “save time on frisking so many people” after more than 1,000 candidates turned up.
