A Brazilian man named Anselmo Arruda claims that skate-boarding helped save his life.
Arruda lost both his parents as a teenager and was living alone in their house in Sao Paulo.
“After my parents died, I was still an adolescent. I started getting into skating because it was something I always liked. When I was having a rough time without my parents, I wanted to skate before anything else.”
Skate-boarding was something that helped Anselmo, and in order to keep doing that, all the time, he transformed his house into a giant skate park ! Removing all kitchen sinks, and furniture to make room.
Anselo, says the sport saved his life and hopes the house helps others get through tough times as well.
No matter how dark life may get, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
