The ISIS’s Latest Ban – Pigeon Breeding! LOL
Published: Jun 9, 2015

Senior clerics for the Islamic State of Iraq have banned pigeon breeding.

According to the, it is an offence punishable by flogging because the sight of pigeons genitals flying overhead is ‘offensive’.

There were 15 boys in total who were breeding pigeons and they were all arrested earlier this year. Three of them have allegedly been executed. Pigeon breeding is banned as it is seen as something that stops them from spending time worshiping.

ISIS released an official document stating that they were banning pigeon breeding that can be seen below:

The document reads.

All those who keep pigeons above the roofs of their houses must stop doing this entirely within a week of the date of the issuing of this statement,’¬†‘Whosoever violates it will be subject to consequences of reprimand including a financial fine, imprisonment and flogging,’

There were rumors that the ban was to stop people sending messages to each other or send cigarettes, but the document cleared that out saying that the ban is,

‘To put a stop to the greater criminal act of harming one’s Muslim and Muslim women neighbours, revealing the [pigeon’s] genitals and wasting time.’

Hopefully ISIS’s next ban will be on breathing and maybe they’ll all stop doing that. Ameen.
