Joanie Launer AKA Chyna was a wrestling superstar. She was found unconscious in her apartment by her friend and manager, the cause of death could be a possible drug overdose as she was suffering from anxiety and not being able to sleep. Her official account confirmed her death.
She debuted in 1995 in WWF as Triple H’s bodyguard using her trade mark low blow to help Triple H win bouts. She was called “The ninth wonder of the world”
Along with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Rick Rude they formed Degeneration-X. She then turned on Degeneration X and joined Shane McMahon corporate ministry.
She was a huge draw for the organisation and would at times even fight men. She was the first and only woman to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship when she defeated Jeff Jarrett in October 1999.
Her last fight was against Lita at Judgement Day 2001.
