When we think of birds, we usually think of peaceful, beautiful small birds, that symbolize love, freedom and peace. But that is not the case all the time, some birds are really dangerous.
Here’s a list of 10 birds of the world that are extremely dangerous:
1. Southern Cassowary
These birds have blue skin patches and black feathers. They weigh more than 130 pounds and are about 6 feet tall and they are very territorial. They have have have the strongest kick forces among animals and razor sharp spurs.
2. Sea Gull
They look really calm and pretty but they can get scary. They dive down to attack eatable and are said to attack if one gets too close to their nests.
3. African Ostrich
This bird is the largest bird on earth. Standing about 7 feet tall the African Ostrich is extremely dangerous, they can run at a speed of 43 miles per hour. They can attack and kill humans in a matter of few seconds if they sense any danger to their young ones or to their habitat.
4. The Barred Owl
These birds have special feathers with which they can attack. The targets wont be able to hear them coming due to the feathers. They attack the head of the target with their razor sharp talons.
5. Hawk
Hawks are intelligent yet fierce birds. While flying, it tracks its prey and catches them by swooping swiftly and speedily. It can injure humans and other bigger animals easily.
6. Lammergeier
Lammergeiers have a thing for the soft marrow present inside the bone. When other vultures feed and stirp the carcass, the only thing remains is the marrow.
7. Falcon
Falcons are territorial birds, so they won’t hesitate to attack. If you get close to their nest, you are asking for trouble.
8. Pitohui
This is a toxic bird it was the first of the three known toxic birds to be discovered to carry a lethal poison within its skin and feathers.
9. Great Northern Loon
The loon weighs around 8 to 12 pounds. They have razor sharp and pointed bills to spear apart the fish prey. They can damage you if they think you are a predator.
10. European Herring Gull
They are famous for stealing food and when they are at it they attack humans badly.
