Everyone’s favourite comic book company (sorry DC) Marvel has gotten a lot of fame since the release of Marvel movies and series. So here are some facts about Marvel that you didn’t know before.
1. Darth Vader is based on Dr Doom.
2. Michael Jackson tried to buy Marvel so he could play Spider Man.
3. The Marvel and DC universes collided and produced Amalgam.
4. President Barack Obama was also featured in Marvel.
5. Nick Fury in The Avengers was made to look like Samuel L Jackson without his permission.
6. In The Punisher comic book the Punisher kills all the heroes and villains in the Marvel universe.
7. Stan Lee the founder of Marvel can be seen as a cameo in every Marvel movie.
8. In 2003, Marvel Comics was going to publish a comic on Princess Diana, depicting her as a mutant with superpowers.
9. In 2002, a 4-year-old boy suffering from hearing-loss didn’t want to wear a hearing-aid because ‘super heroes don’t’. To get him to wear his hearing-aid, Marvel Comics created a super hero with a hearing aid called Blue Ear.
10. Characters that Stan Lee has created have the same initials, for example, Peter Parker (Spider Man), Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Bruce Banner (Hulk), Reed Richards (Fantastic Four) as it was easier for him to remember them.
