This movie was controversial because it glorified the lives of two murders, also for it’s excessive violence at the time.

It was banned in the U.K for 40 years because of the excessive violence and graphic sexual content. It even inspired copy cat crimes.

It was controversial for the violence in the movie and because of the negative light Jews were shown in.
4. Salo: 120 days of sodom (1957)
A twisted tale about the rich sexually torturing and humiliating teenagers they had captured
5. Natural born killers (1994)
A movie that inspired crimes and like Bonnie and Clyde was controversial for the way it glorified killers.
6. Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
A movie that was thought to be a real documentary. This was the first movie to be made like a documentary. The director was arrested because they thought the main characters were actually killed, also there were animals harmed in the film which was real.
7. Pink Flamingoes (1972)
The main character actually eats human feces… do I need to say more?
8. Triumph of the will (1935)
This movie makes you sympathetic to the Nazi’s and shows them in a positive light. It’s still banned in Germany till today
9. The birth of a nation (1915)
A movie that had black face and could also be considered a Ku Klux Klan recruitment film. Showed black people in a negative light and the Ku Klux Klan as heroes
10. The last temptation (1988)
The movie shows what Jesus thinks about on the cross, about what it would be like to have a normal life and even a sex scene. It was needless to say highly controversial and criticized by the Vatican.
