Both the men and women of the West Indies have done their countries proud by winning the World Twenty20 championships! The women stole the show from three times winning team of Australia while the Men won the world T20 for the second time. The champions have now become the first team to win the World Twenty20 ‪ title twice. And this is not all; they were also the Under-19 World Cup Champions earlier this year!

Here are ten reasons why the West Indies truly deserved this win

1. They never gave up, even when critics called them ‘short of brains’, they believed in themselves and so did there captain

6. They have some amazing youngsters who have the ability to play extraordinary cricket. 18-year-old Windies opener for the women’s cricket team Hayley Matthews hit a stunning 66 off 45 balls with three sixes, in a stand of 120.

7. They played to make their part of the world and their fans world over proud!
