Women love makeup. We can’t deny it. Even if we don’t know how to use it, and don’t necessarily need it, we love it. We like changing our appearance as much as possible, just because we want to. And it feels great! But sometimes, makeup, especially eye makeup, goes unnoticed under spectacles. This post consists of tips specially for those girls who rock their specs and love makeup too!
1. Always use a primer
Use a primer so that your eye-shadow stays in place for a longer time. It also makes a smooth base for your make-up to build on.
2. Make sure to apply a concealer and foundation properly
Your glasses can accentuate some of your dark circles and make them prominent. Make sure your foundation and concealer are well blended otherwise people can see it.
3. Define your eyebrows.
Your eyebrows will look a little lighter of you’re wearing thick framed glasses. It is best if you fill in your brows to make them pop.
4. Don’t apply the eye-shadow beyond the frame
It will give a very messy look if you go beyond and all your hard work gets hidden!
5. Use a bold liner.
Use a thick liner that will give prominence to your eyes and make them look bigger! The thicker your frames, the thicker the liner!
6. Make sure to line your entire eye.
Line your lash line properly with a dark black liner so you get that oomph!
7. Highlight the area under your eyes.
Use something shimmery and highlight under your eye. It will give you a fresh and happy look.
8. Use a mascara and a lash curler
You lashes will hide behind the lenses, so to make them prominent, go bold!
9. Don’t forget your cheeks!
Use a pinkish hue for your cheeks to highlight your cheekbones. Or use a glow-y blush so they really pop!
10. Choose your lip colour wisely!
If you want to look sexy then go with a dark shade like red, and if you’re going for the chic and elegant look then opt for some lighter shades ranging from nude shades to pinks, peaches and browns. If you have dark eye makeup, use a light lipstick and vice versa!
