An addiction is when a person craves or is dependent on a certain activity or substance. Here are a list of things you may not know that you’re addicted to.
1. Sugar
Sugar is surprisingly addictive. If you leave sugar for a few days you’ll feel sad and upset That’s because sugar gives you a bit of a euphoric buzz.
2. Lip balm
Yes everyone uses chap sticks to make their lips look good but some chap sticks contain phenol, menthol, and camphor which are addictive.
3. Work
Yup! Working can also be addictive. Some workaholics get their high from the adrenaline released from when they are stressed about some project they may have to give.
4. Adventure sports
For all those adrenaline junkies out there who get a kick out of adventure sports. You can get addicted to the adrenaline rush.
5. Negativity
Being negative can actually become addictive. You could enjoy being negative all the time and wanting the hurt and self ridicule more.
6. Smartphones
We’ve gotten so used to having them and being on social media 24/7 we get anxiety if we haven’t checked our phone every 20 minutes.
7. Online gaming
Video games are great but have a way of taking over your life. If you’re playing video games in the majority of your free time, you might be addicted.
8. Television
Does the thought of missing out on a television show stress you out? Does your day revolve around what shows you’re going to watch and the time they are on? Chances are you’re addicted.
9. Love
Might as well face it you’re addicted to love. Robert Palmer wasn’t kidding You can actually be addicted to the feeling of love.
10. Exercise
Yes it is a healthy activity, but too much of a good thing can be bad for you too! You can get addicted to the release of endorphin’s you get from working out.
