Here are some reasons why you may be gaining belly fat without realising:
1. You’re sitting for too long
Sitting for too long increases your insulin levels, makes you hungry and want to eat more. The remedy? Stand up every 30 minutes
2. You’re not eating healthy fats
There are such a thing as healthy fats, like nuts, olive oil and fish oil. These fats help keep fat off your body.
3. Too many diet soft drinks
There is a lot of evidence that even diet soft drinks lead to weight gain
4. You’ve been ordering all your food
Ordering your food usually leads to unhealthy meals which ofcourse leads to weight gain
5. You’re not sleeping enough
Not sleeping enough also leads to weight gain, you realise you’re full much later.
You’re eating emotionally without realising
6. You’re not getting enough fiber
Fiber helps you lose weight by keeping you full and help you in making healthier eating decisions.
7. You’re dehydrated
Sometimes we mistake our thirst for hunger and end up eating more than we should.

You may be going in and bench pressing the whole gym, but lifting weights alone won’t help you lose belly fat. Doing Hiit and tabatta training are the way to go. Intense activity with short breaks.
9. Not eating enough protein
Protein won’t only make you gain muscle but at the same time it’ll make you lose fat. It also keeps you full.

Fit people always tend to weigh themselves everyday. So if they see themselves gaining weight they know they have to lose weight and cut down on the sugary stuff.
