The Fit4Less gym in England has taken over the internet by its new advertisement. The billboards of the gym include images of a flying saucer hovering over a slightly bell-shaped body, and a sinewy alien front and center, looking directly at the viewer as though picking from a menu.

People are not happy with this gym billboard that claims,

“They are coming.. and when they arrive they’ll take the fat ones first” and ‘save yourself’

Fit4Less defended itself, saying the advertising was not meant to hurt anyone. According to Kerry Matthews, who works at the Long Eaton branch,

‘We really didn’t mean it offensively, It was supposed to be a bit cheeky, hence the alien image, and grab people’s attention in a couple of seconds. So many campaigns use ultra skinny people and that’s not the reality.’

The gym’s CEO who refuses to take the billboard down could possibly use a good probing.
