Everyone’s favourite graffiti artist, Banksy, has out done himself yet again. Banksy’s last art gallery was in 2009, called the Banksy vs Bristol Museum and featured art work such as,

His latest art gallery, however, is a take on Disneyland called ‘Dismaland’ a ‘bemusement’ park.

Dismaland

The official brochure describes it in the following manner:

“Are you looking for an alternative to the soulless sugar-coated banality of the average family day out? Or just somewhere cheaper. Then this is the place for you—a chaotic new world where you can escape from mindless escapism. Instead of a burger stall, we have a museum. In place of a gift shop we have a library, well, we have a gift shop as well…This event contains adult themes, distressing imagery, extended use of strobe lighting, smoke effects and swearing. The following items are strictly prohibited: knives, spray-cans, illegal drugs, and lawyers from the Walt Disney corporation.”

There are even smaller sculptures around the park

The ‘park’ also has rides people can go on and some impossible-to-win games.

And even a sketch artist with a twist where they sketch the back of your head!

The park will be open for six weeks from August 22^nd through September 27^th, 2015 and from the looks of it - will be EPIC! If you are in London on these dates, this park is definitely a must see!
