Last year United Nations partnered with Brandon Stanton of Humans of New York to raise awareness for the intergovernmental organisation’s Millennium Development Goals. He visited 10 different countries in a 50 day tour. When Pakistani HONY fans found out the famous photographer was present just across the border, they campaigned to bring Brandon to Pakistan; the efforts drummed up by pages like Humans of Pakistan, Humans of Karachi and even Bring HONY to Pakistan.
Unfortunately, Pakistani fans were heart-broken when Brandon couldn’t make it to Pakistan due to visa issues but promised to make a trip in the future:
And it’s finally happening now! Brandon kept his promise and he is coming over to Pakistan this August. The fans were clearly ecstatic reading the post he wrote on Facebook:
