Everyone’s favourite sitcom is coming back for a 2 hour special on February. Yes, Friends will have a 2 hour special after 12 years. But sadly one of the characters will not be returning for that show.

Yes Mathew Perry who used to play Chandler Bing will not be returning for the special.

A representative said

“Matthew will not be attending as he is in London in rehearsals for his play, The End of Longing, which begins previews on Feb. 2 at the playhouse Theatre. NBC executives were aware of this prior to their TCA announcement yesterday,”

So it’s not because he doesn’t want to but it’s because he can’t. He will however tape something for a tribute for James Burrows who was the director of friends.

So it still is a friends reunion. Minus one friend.
