Dolphins can not survive on land, they are marine animals. They need to be constantly hydrated and can not survive the heat on land. They also do not have the muscles to move around on land.

Recently in Argentina a poor dolphin died because it was passed around from person to person so that they could take a picture with the poor animal. The poor animal died of dehydration.

Worst thing is that the dolphin was left in the sand after it had died

Many officials reacted angrily to what had happened, as the dolphin was a la plata dolphin and is rare and only 30,000 of them are left. The Argentine Wildlife Foundation later issued a reminder to the public of the mammal’s extreme vulnerability, hoping it will prevent such a sad event again.
