A ‘dislike’ button has been anticipated and wanted by social media users for years but instead the social media website has launched Reactions, so users can now select from six emotions.

The new emoticons appear when you hover the cursor over the Like button when on a desktop or when the button is held down on mobile devices. A menu will appear with a collection of five emoticons - “love,” “haha,” “wow,” “sad,” and “angry”.

Facebook has officially launched the buttons internationally after a successful test in Ireland and Spain.
