With Bollywood Queen Deepika Padukone and Bollywood’s hottest import Fawad Khan on the ramp, ace designer Manish Malhotra weaved a Persia-inspired collection at the opening of India Couture Week 2016.

Manish Malhotra was inspired by the grandiose and opulence of the Persian rulers, which led him to incorporate his designs with elements that serve as tokens of remembrance.

Showstoppers Fawad Khan and Deepika Paukone looked absolutely resplendent in Manish Malhotra couture.

While Khan looked regal in warm, dark-hued sherwani featuring a golden embroidery on its pocket, Padukone’s glittering red lehenga with heavy gold embroidery provided a fitting contrast.

The charismatic presence of the duo set the event on fire.
