The cast of most popular comedy show Friends and The Big Bang Theory came together at a gala dinner for director James Burrows, in Los Angeles.

Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny in the CBS show, uploaded a picture of herself on Instagram with the caption:

“Ummmm NIGHT MADE. Can’t breathe #friends meets #bbt@bigbangtheory_cbs I died and went to heaven.”

Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, and Johnny Galecki was also posing with our favourite TV stars Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow.

Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing in Friends was unable to attend the reunion due to play rehearsals in London.

Speaking to Graham Norton about his absence he said:

“It’s not the reunion everyone is hoping for – they are celebrating Jim Burrows who was a director of Friends. The other five are going to be on this special and I am going to introduce them from London. I’m doing the play here so I can’t be there.”

Le Blanc, who played Joey tweeted about the experience by saying:

“What a great night. So nice to see the casts of so many great shows who’s lives have been touched by Jimmy Burrows.”

The Friends are back together to create a special programme for long standing sitcom writer James Burrows to celebrate his achievement of penning his 1000th sitcom episode.

The Big Bang Theory and Friends casts will also be joined by the actors of Will And Grace, another of Burrows’ key sitcoms.
