This is the description of Google’s special women’s day video doodle:
“Over the years, Doodles have marked the achievements of women in science, civil rights, journalism, sports, arts, technology and beyond. But for our 2016 International Women’s Day Doodle, we wanted to celebrate the next generation of Doodle-worthy women—the engineers, educators, leaders, movers and shakers of tomorrow”
Liat Ben-Rafael, creator of the women’s day doodle, believes that it was important for her to feature real women in the video, rather than just animated characters.
Women and girls are encouraged to share their stories on twitter and other social media platforms by using the hashtag #OneDayIWill.
