Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan finally broke his silence on being targeted by Hindu extremist organisation Shiv Sena. He made the statement at a tree plantation event organized by Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) Peshawar.

“I have never faced any issues working in India. The groups that work against Pakistan should be ignored because there are similar groups present in Pakistan too. We as artists should ignore such groups and concentrate on our work,” Khan said.

Fawad also said that he will invite King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan to visit Peshawar soon.

“Peshawar is very beautiful and peaceful, and I will invite Shahrukh Khan to visit his native city” He said.

Fawad Khan’s wife Sadaf was also present at the event to support the cause.

Fawad said that he has been participating in the fundraising campaigns for Shaukat Khanum Hospital since his childhood, and he is proud to offer his support for SKMCH.

Earlier Shiv Sena Chitrapat Sena’s General Secretary Akshay Bardapurkar threatened Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. He said that they will not allow them to promote their upcoming films ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’ respectively in Maharashtra.
