Indian Soldier Found Alive Buried Under Snow For 6 Days

On February 3rd 10 Indian soldiers were hit with an avalanche in Siachen. A rescue effort was made on the 4th of February but chances of finding anyone alive was very slim.
How ever one soldier Lance Naik Hanamanthappa was found miraculously alive after being buried for six days in the snow in critical condition.
Army Commander Northern Command Lt. Gen. D.S. Hooda said,
“Lance Naik Hanamanthappa has been found alive. He is critical but all attempts are being made to evacuate him to RR hospital in the morning. We hope the miracle continues. Pray with us.”
Five bodies have been recovered and four remain to be found. Sadly there is no hope for the other soldiers buried.
