Suffering from dental problems? Don’t want to get that troubling tooth extracted or going to the dentist is your worst night mare? Well guess what? There are bigger problems in this universe.

A nine 9-year-old child, Johncris Carl Quirante, who lives in Cebu, Philippines has 300 teeth. This may sound crazy but this condition exists, it is very rare and is known as hypertonia.

It is the condition of having supernumerary teeth, or teeth that appear in addition to the regular number of teeth. They can appear in any area of the dental arch and can affect any dental organ.

The only treatment to his condition is to get the extra teeth extracted. So far Johnchris has had 40 of 300 teeth extracted in a pyogenic granuloma treatment, an invasive procedure which involves surgically removing the teeth and using stitches to close the wound.

He has to undergo at least seven more operations to get all the excess teeth out, and after that he may require to wear orthodontics to correct his bite.

Now you may think that due to this condition Johnchris would not have a normal life, but his story is quite the contrary. Not only does he go to school regularly, but he also excels in class according to his teachers. He dreams to be a civil engineer one day.
