
Different parts of UAE were hit by a heavy rain storm yesterday, March 9 2016. Flooding blocked several roads and many buildings were damaged by heavy winds and rain.
Soon after social media was also flooded with video’s, tweets and pictures about the rainstorm and all the destruction it bought to the UAE.

Schools were closed and people were urged to stay indoors.

Today the residents of UAE woke up to clear and sunny skies after a day of heavy thunderstorm,but the traffic situation is still not under control.

The Road and Transport Authority urged Dubai road-users heading to and from Abu Dhabi to use Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road due to the accumulation of rain water on Shaikh Zayed Road.
