Qandeel Baloch was murdered in cold blood by her brother on July 16th 2016. The brother said he killed her because it was a matter of “Honour”. Many people were upset over what had happened and even went on Facebook to condemn the killings.

Many social media celebrities however didn’t blame the brother but blamed the Pakistani awaam for her murder claiming it wasn’t the brother but the Pakistani people who had killed her and many people agree!

People such as comedian and social commentator Junaid Akram:

He blames our mind set and the comments we would leave on her videos and page. He doesn’t blame the brother but the people who would wish death upon her.

Gaurav Gera who makes the Chutki and shop keeper videos also made a video for her. Here’s what he said:

He was a huge fan of hers and speaks about the hate comments she received and how she still went on despite all the hate she got.

Recently Waqar Zaka made a video about Qandeel Baloch and he went on to say it is out fault and goes on in detail to explain why we murdered her and not her brother:

He also blames the people of Pakistan and how it is our mindset that killed her.

Maybe all these celebrities are on to something. Instead of spewing hate comments we can ignore something we don’t like. If we see something on Facebook we can block that content so we don’t see it. Maybe if we weren’t so quick to hate on someone we could be doing them a favor. People should start to take out time to love one another and be kind than hating on someone because it’s easy and fun.
